I cannot download .exe files from the internet. I don't get the File Download screen when I click a link for a download. The page tries to view the file but I can't download .exe files. This question may seem very awkward but I do not know what to do. Please Help.

The Web Folder (directory) you are accessing probably has permission to to EXECUTE so it tries to execute the program. Otherwise check you file associations to determine if .EXE has been assigned to a program on your machine. Go to Tools /Folder Options / File Types (Under Win ME)

Some time this Problem occure due to timeout from Server. iis_guru@yahoo.com

I went to my file types and APP and EXE are gone. Is it possible to restore these extentions?

I don't know what APP is for, I don't have. I don't have EXE either. I can understand because it means execute the program rather than execute a program associated with the file. The timeout on the server is the problem I had when the server tried to execute my program instead of downloading. Going to the server and disallowing EXECUTE fixed the problem. I'm doing HTTP download i.e.
