Hi,

On my page I want to have a link where if some clicks they can download file on their machine, how can I do that?

Surely you must not be stating correctly what you want. It is the nature of the web that every link will get downloaded. If it is of a type that browser recognizes and knows what to do with it (text/html), it will open in browser. If not, you will be presented with a download file dialog. So, to answer your question:

thanks, I did something like this

<a href="RMA_form.zip">( Download RMA Form)</a>

I am using IE 6.0 , but when I click on link it tries to open this in a browser and I get

http://www.sntradersonline.com/test/RMA_form.zip

instead of download dialog window

little correction, file is a spread sheet, with extension xls.
even at browswer if i type in

http://www.sntradersonline.com/test/RMAform.xls

I get 'page can not be displayed' instead of download window.
