Downgrading Windows XP to IE 5.0 (no service pack)

Is it possible install multiple version of IE on the same machine or downgrade a Windows XP Professional machine (not sure what build of IE shipped with XP) to Internet Explorer 5.0 (no service pack)?

Why would you want to do that? IE 5.0 was a rag.

Amen. You might as well retrograde your OS to ME while you're at it.
