Hello,
We arre working with access 2000 we can no longer open forms that were desinged or altered in access XP. Forms that were not altered still work!

We received a database that underwent the following steps.

1. It was upgrades from acc200 to acc2002 in order for the programmer to work on the database
2. Extra programming was added using access 2002/xp(tables, forms, queries and macro's only)
3. Then it was downgraded to acc2000 in order for us to work with it.

Any help is welcome at this address : infortica@skynet.be

Thanks

To work on a accessXP (2002) one does not need to upgrade the databases to this platform access XP will work fine on both access 2K and A XP.

If one has upgraded the A XP will allow a downgrading/saving to A2K.

Hello Herman,
thanks for your reply to my answer.
The downgrade from XP to 2000 has already been performed, using the correct tool in Access XP.
And this is were the trouble begins. All forms work fine when the database is used in XP but they will not open in ACC2000
Any thoughts on this ?
kind regards
Rob

Did Access 2K2 create a backup file for you?? (i.e. "mdb1.bak) If so you might have to revert back to that. Just a thought though I'm no expert.

thanks for the idea but ACCXP did not make a backup copy this time.
