can you treat a dwongrade of a dot relaease like an upgrade or do i need to default the server by restarting the server with the disc in and starting over?

Depending on the software is installed there may be a previous ver still on the server. You can go to the Software Management section of the web interface and if it is there, you can just load it. Retain the dot release incase you need to back out. Dont forget to click make upgrade permanate once you are complete.

Other than that, you may to blow it away and start with the CD. You may recieve an error that states the release on the server is greater than what you are trying to install.

Best bet is to us the Software Manager. You can have 3 ver of software stored on the server at a time. This gives you the most flesibilty.
