Hi

We have two HP3005 printers w/different firmware versions

PRT01 20110406 02.140.2
PRT02 20080411 02.040.2

When these printers print the same report in landscape, PRT01 trims/omit about the first 8 positions. What I want to try, if possible, is downgrade PRT01's firmware to PRT02's. They're identical printers/identical drivers.

Can you downgrade old firmware? I haven't been able to locate it.

Thanks

I don't have an answer to your question, but I am suspicious.

Can you print to a file through the setup that prints properly?

If so, then copy the file directly to each of the two printers
and compare the results?

Have you printed and stepped through the printer's configuration menus to verify all the settings are identical? There could be a setting that's different that you'd notice only with a line per line comparison?
