HI everyone!

I have an IPO 500 V2 6.0, with two expansion modules DS16.
In before days, 7 ports on one DS16 failed, and I decided to change it. The expansion module arrived, but when I plug on the IPO this shows 9.0 (-2147483050) version on the control Unit window. other module show 8.0 (18) version. And obviously does not work.

I needed to downgrade the DS16?
and... above all, how to do it?

Sorry, but I´m new with the IPO

appreciate any advice

Thanks!

Hi Jesus7x, you're going to struggle as the new DS16 expansion modules are now a B type. meaning they require a different firmware, there is a patch for this in 8.1 service pack 7, though you will have to get an upgrade licence for this and physically upgrade the device. unless anyone else has any ideas? (be careful when upgrading that you follow the right procedures as to allow it to generate a virtual essential edition licence.)

Dazbob, thank for the reply!

So... your advice is upgrade the IP Office to a newer release?

thanks!

Only if you have a DS16B.
If it is a DS16 then you only have to downgrade the module.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks tlpeter!

My exp module is a DS16B, This module can be downgraded?
I don´t have the resource for an upgrade

[sad]

somebody has an file from Avaya for this modules type?

thanks!

You cannot go any lower than 8.1 with these modules so you really need an upgrade license.

any of you knows the procedure to downgrade?

As you've been told already..... you can't downgrade that module to where you are now, it won't be recognised, you need an upgrade licence :)

ok, I understand

other news, a friend loaned me a used module with the same features, but do not know that version is, how do I know?

thanks for the comments!

you need to plug it in and see in the configuration of the IPO
