i have designed a database in access 2000, but the person i have made it for only has access 97. when i try opening the file in access 97 is want allow me to. is it possible to down grade the database>!!!!

Yes, get into your database in Access 2000, go to "TOOLS", then "DATABASE UTILITIES", and then to "CONVERT DATABASE", choose " TO A PRIOR ACCESS DATABASE VERSION". Save it to your hard drive somewhere, and send it to your buddie . . . and vuala! (hint -> remember, not all downgraded versions of your database will be exactly the same since Access 2k has some different added features that may not be implemented into Access97 --> just make sure it downgraded ok)

Chance~

Hope that helps!
