doubt about compatibility

I am up to buy an IBM Netfinity Server and it doesn´t come with Windows 2000 Server Operating System. But I plan to use SQL Server 2000 on that server. So I don´t know if Ican do so. And what about the compatibility. I am new in SQL Server. Help me please!!!

You can run SQL 2000 on NT 4.0. But I would recommend upgrading to Win2000. We have been running that combination on several Netfinity Server pretty much without a hitch for about 5 months.
