double use of network port on NIU card

Is it possible to use the Ethernet port of an NIU card for both:

MML commands
Network traffic logging

would this mean the use of 2 different TCP ports?

sure MML commands can be used , I don't think Network traffic logging.

Ofcourse you can Ethernet port in the NIU card can handle 6 simultaneous sessions. so you can define 2 channels, one for MML and the other for CIL.

CIL is OK , thought you meant ordinary network sniffing etc.

then how do I get the traffic on the other end?

just with a TCP listening application?
no special protocol?

You would need to setup the CIL in the MD110 first including what to log and where to send it .
Then you should configure a call accounting application like TABS , Callmaster etc.
