Is there a way to create a double underline in a Word Table using spaces to create the line. I need to have a dollar sign to appear next to a blank double underline.
The underline will not appear until it has text to work with.
1. Type a double space and a $.
2. Select the spaces and the $.
3. Apply a double underline. Format>Font>Underline Style
4. Select only the $ and remove the underline.
5. If you are having trouble seeing your underline, apply a space after paragraph format. Format>Paragraph>Space After 2 pts should do it.
First select your underline through the Font menu. Type the dollar sign and all spaces except the last one. For the last space hold the ALT key and on the numeric keypad enter 0160
Go to Tools > Options > Compatibility tab and check "Draw underlines on trailing spaces"
Enjoy,
Tony
