I'm hoping someone can help. I've tried without success to creat a tapered solid, using AutoCAD 2000. It is supposed to end up looking almost like an ellipse, that tapers in length, and height as it is extruded, almost like an airplane wing, with a varying ratio between the height/width. (i.e. starts at 12 long and 3 tall, and ends at 4 long and 2 tall) Any hints?

You may want to post this on the Eng-Tips.com forum. I believe there are more AutoCAD users there.

Can't you draw two separate solids and join them with the union command ? S. van Els

to create this shape make a profile for a loft command draw base ellipse and then goto next profile then draw smaller scaled down size of base and loft to that profie to get the taper cylindrical shape you are looking for and with the profile path you can make it reduce and curle
