Hi there, I am wondering why an email will occasionally be double spaced, or the signature will be, even though neither is set up to do so. I have Outlook sent to send as HTML (not via Word) and when I insert the signature it is double spaced. How do I fix this and why is it happening. Thank you for any help. Dawn

When your start a new message, check the formatting style of each particular area in the message. Your answer will be there I believe.

Normal, Paragraph, and Heading all have different size and space attributes.

Make sure your signiture is also formatted the way you want via Tools - Options - Mail Format - Signature Picker

When you created the signature were you using the HTML editor at the time? It sounds like the HTML editor is treating the enter command in the signature differently as if it was done in another editor.

What you can try is to go into the signature and typically where you would use enter to go to the next line put a SHIFT+ENTER and see if that helps. joegz

Hi Joegz, I am not sure. I was in signature picker and had the emails set to be created in HTML, without word. But that sounds pretty reasonable, so I will try it out and let you know if that helps. meintsi, I appreciate your post, but as I mentioned, it was not formated that way in the signature picker. Actually in signature picture there is no option to double space anyway, so there is no way to un-do the double space. Thank you both, Dawn
