Double Ring on Cisco SIP 79xx Phones with Asterisk External calls 1

Has anyone been successful on having a double ring for external calls and one ring for internal calls on the Cisco 79xx phones running SIP on Asterisk?

Thank you for the information. I was able to change the alert info and my Nortel unistim phones responded but not the Cisco sip phone, nor Nortel sip phone. Do you know if there is anything I can change in the Cisco code that would adjust the distinctive ringing?

I tested this in our office and made the change in Asterisk itself, not the phone. This effected both Aastra and Yealink phones. We are not using Cisco, so not sure.

Ok, thank you. What element did you change the Alert Info for? The DID, ring group, etc?

I just don't think it works with the Cisco phone unless it is on a Call Manager platform.
