Hi all,

Anyone has seen a Micros RES 3700 ISL/SIM interface that would allow a “Double” liquor condiment button in Micros so that when use, the last menu item price on the check will be added again ? For example:
If a bartender order “Grey Goose” which is currently priced at $15 and then hit “Double” it will add another $15 preceded by the string "DBL" on the check. If they order “House Vodka” priced at $12 then hit “Double” then $12 preceded by "DBL" is added to the check.

Many Thanks

You don't need a sim to do this. You can use menu levels. Or re-order? not sure exactly what you are looking to do.

Hi Wildbar,

Our regular liquor pour is 1.5 fl oz. When someone order a "double" the pour goes up to 3 fl oz thus the double price.

In regards to menu levels, unless i mistaken, the bartender needs to remember to go back to the default menu level (price 1) after selecting the menu levels to get the "double" price otherwise all subsequent orders will end up using the double pricing if they are programmed with such a menu level pricing.
In regards to reorder, we have seen guests questioned us as to "why do i have 4 grey goose on the check since i only order 2 double grey goose ?"

The last resort i have is to create new menu items for all liquors that can be served in "double" portions but i was hopping for something easier.

Cheers

You can set the double price level to be used once then flip back to another level. Or what we do is use a button to toggle between our double and single screens. The double screens are clearly marked "Double" all over so the bartender/server should not make errors ringing anything in. This will also allow you to use the re-order feature correctly.

We use sub menu levels for this and it works smoothly. If you have questions with the setup let us know. You can make it show the name on the screen with the dbl so they see it as well.
