Has anyone ever encountered a KX-TA624 that sent double DTMF tones to say a cellular voice mail or conference call access while the phone was on speakerphone. I turned the volume down, it seem to help, but still continued. It doesn't matter what number you press or which phone you use. You can mean to press 1884 but the prompt tells you that you pressed 11884 or on another call it can wind up as 18884 or 18844. It is the strangest thing, the Ma Bell says they're lines are good and we even swapped out the PBX. I can't see all the phones being bad, besides that everything is new. Panasonic Tech support is baffled too, and you know they are the supreme knowledge of all.

Crazy idea, but try checking the polarity. We had a similar problem once and we swapped the analogue pair's polarity and have never had the problem since.

I will try the polarity swap next visit to the customer. The mute helps, but the customer is not willing to do anything requiring more effort.

well i think the deal is that the mic on the phone is hearing
touchtones thru the speaker!!
