Hi,

We have a BCM 1000 (Rel. 3.6 S/W) with a 1000e Expansion Cabinet.

The system is populated with the following:
One Digital Trunk Interface
One 32 DSI MBM
One 16 Port Digital Station Interface MBM
Two DSM 16+ MBMs

We want to add another DSM 16+ but the system reports all resources are used.

Does the BCM1000 support "double density" settings on the Digital Station Modules?
If so, how do we set the DIP switches to enable "double density?"

Thank you in advance for any help anyone can provide.

You would need to replace 16 Port Digital Station with a 32+

One Digital Trunk Interface (Uses 1 BUS)
One 32 DSI MBM (uses 2 BUS)
One 16 Port Digital Station interface MBM (uses 1 BUS)
Two DSM 16+ MBMs (uses 1 BUS) These are Double Density

You are probally set for 3/5 split, you could change it to a 2/6 split and just add the new 16+

If configured for a 2/6 split, make sure you've configured your DSM 16+ modules for double density mode. The I&M manual shows the dip switch settings to enable double density mode.

I would change out the 16 port (non plus)for a 32+ for no net loss (or gain) of resources.
