I need help solving an annoying problem.

When ever I:
1) double click on a .pdf file on my desktop or in explorer, Windows2K hangs for 1 to 5 minutes before the file opens in Acrobat 5.0.5

2) Highlight a .pdf file either on my desktop or in explorer, right click and select delete from the drop down, the same 1-5 minute hang occurs before the file is deleted.

This does not happen with any other file types. Acrobat opens just fine by itself. If I drag a .pdf from my desktop or from explorer onto an open Acrobat window, the file opens immediately.

Any ideas on how to fix this???

Here is some data about my PC and network:
Adobe Acrobat v5.0.5
P4 1.8Ghz 512MB
Win2k SP3
Office 2K SR1
Novell client for Win2K on top of an NT network.

Thanks,
Jeff
