I want to be able to create a thin dotted border for a table. I have created a CSS and changed the border to dotted but it comes out large and looks really cheap. I want to recreate the table view type dotted border that is in Ultradev when you're working in design view.

I've had a look no Macromedia exchange and searched the web to no avail.

Suggestions on a postcard please.

Cheers

What do you have the cell spacing as? Perhaps that is what is causing it? Ladyborg

This is going to sound like the long way around doing it. And to be honest I have not tried what you attempted.

However, what about making a one dot picture - like a 5 pixel by 5 pixel thing. add extra rows and columns around your table - set the width/heigth to 5 pixels (rows/columns) and put the background picture as that 5x5 pic you made? "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"

Cheers people,

Int he end I had to use a variant of Stuarts answer. I created a custom dotted lien in PSP6 and saved a very small gif and used it as a background to a bery thin table.

Thanks
