dot and backslash to operate script

I have a scipt name----> xxxxx
if i operate it in digital unix it work by it name
but in rs6000 AIX i have to put a dot and back slash before the file name like this: ./xxxxx

Make sure you have your current directory (.) included in your PATH environment variable. Do an echo $PATH command to check.

If it's not there, add it with

PATH=$PATH:. ; export PATH
