Hello Everybody

Whenever I ftp a text file from my NT to UNIX I do a dos2ux command on the UNIX machine on the textfile for my software to recognise the text file.

Is there any other utility (which can be run from shell prompt)in LINUX to do the same function.

Now I do a pico mytextfile and getting it work but curious to know whether there is a dos2linux etc...

Regards

I found an rpm for the dos2ux command for my red hat linux.
go to rpmfind.net and search dos2ux.

I've found that if your transfer the text file via FTP in binary mode and use Wordpad in Windows and vi in Linux, you won't have a problem and won't need any utilities to convert it.

I've run into problems when using Notepad and when transfering via FTP in ASCII mode.
