How would i properly load a device driver in DOS?

I believe you need to edit the CONFIG.SYS file and specify DEVICE= or something similar.
Check the line for your keyboard driver to find an example, and do not forget to consult the documentation of your device to know what parameters you need to set.

Pascal.

If it's an executable file (.exe or .com for the extension), you load it by entering the path to it in autoexec.bat or just load it from the command prompt.

It it's a .sys file, it get's loaded from config.sys with the "device=" command (without the quotes).
