How can I find what version of DOS I am running on my machine. I currently use WIN98 as my OS

Open up a dos box (command prompt) and type "ver" without the quotes.
This will tell all about your version of DOS.

I did that and is says Windows 98 [Version 4.10.2222]

Does that mean I have that version of Windows or that version of DOS

There isnt an ACTUAL dos that comes with Win98, the DOS that is built into 98, is the version above, DOS is not seperate from Windows in this case, like it was when Win3.1+DOS existed (where you could have a vary difference in dos versions)

It is a game called NHL 96 that I had on an older system. Everything seems to install fine, but when I try to run it I get an error. I can't remember the exact error off hand. As soon as I get a chance to run it again I will post it here.

If NHL96 runs in DOS mode, and it's giving you a DOS error, you can check inside the file called dosstart.bat for settings. You can also run mkcompat.exe from the windows folder and see if that helps.
If it's a .dll or .vxd error, we need to know what it says.
