I am trying to use Procomm to dial into a NEC PABX (ICS120) and then run the MAT-Maintenance program to administer the PABX. The MAT program is a dos based program. The MAT software is designed to work with a communications program and receives data from and sends data to the comms package.

I have been able to dial into the PABX and run a dos session but when I launcg the Mat program it doesn't get the data from Procomm.

Is there a way to run a DOS window within procomm where all data is sent to and from the DOS window.

If anyone is familar with Telix it is the "jump to Dos" command which I am trying to emulate

This used to be possible with earlier versions of Procomm (pre 4.x versions I would think due to newer versions using TAPI to communicate with the modem), but I've had not luck doing this with version 4.8. Here is an article in the Symantec knowledgebase on how to set this up, maybe it will work in your environment:

Thanks, I just tried and it seemed to work for this application
