16-Bit MS-DOS Subsystem eoor.

The video device failed to innitialise for fullscreen mode. Choose 'close' to terminate the app.

Buttons are close and ignore. Pressing ignore will hang the process.

First line when running the prog is "cannot load VDM IPX/SPX support" which it does not normally do on 9x.

This is an ancient app that only runs under DOS and is required to pay some foreign companies...

I have set it to run in a window, full screen, I have tried lots of things but none work.

Windows 2000 is true 32bit, any program that is 16 bit cannot run under windows 2000, this includes most of the long list of DOS programs. Win98 can run both 16 and 32 (it is sometimes said Win98 is a 16 bit OS that emulates 32bit, but whichever it is, it can do both) Karl

So pretty much catagorically then any 16 bit apps I have cannot work under 2000?

It is just this one for this user - pity as it is a nice piece of kit I got him. Good job I got it on sale or return...

Ok, then I have some questions:
If I want to run dos apps on a LAN now, what are my options? What are my best options? What are my options to run as a stand-alone? What are my options to run with network drives available?

The funny thing is, I don't have many early windows apps that I can't replace, but I do have some dos apps that I can't replace.
