Recently had Windows 2003 installed after having Novell for the past 5 years.
We currently have a dos based database, and need to print large reports to dot matric printers.
Up until now we have been able to print these reports successfully until new op sys.
problem:
Sometimes large reports are printed several times, even though 1 job is being sent to the queue. When the report is half way though printing, an Error on the job will appear in the queue. The only way to stop printing is to turn the printer server off and on.
I though it may have been the way Windows spools raw dos data, but not sure. Is there anything I can do?
