Looking for a source for PC platform running at or under PII. We use MS-DOS apps with I/O control that are too slow for the newer platforms. We've tried slowing down the processor with a loop util but we're still having problems with the port speed.

We had been slowing down the machines in BIOS but they have since removed the selectable option for the BIOS setup.

So, any help in finding a new source for obsolete computers or some other workable option is appreciated. (And thanks but no thanks for the offer to buy your "like new" 8088 in your basement!)

Well, since you don't want my 8088s, I guess I can throw them out. You realise of course that you were my last hope.
What are you looking for? 286s, 386s, 486s? got em all. Like new. Very low clock cycles.
Pardon my humor. Very seldom do I get to practice. Dave has me on a short leash. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

Jim: please tell me: what is an I/O control which is too slow ?
