dos in windows 2000 professional

I am running some dos files in w2000 but the doswindow never remains open after running which results that I´m not able to see the output of the dosprogram. Where can I change the properties for the dos-prompt? I want it to remain after being finished like the w98.

I don't think you are running the application from a dos prompt. Open a dos window with cmd command and run your program from there. The window should not close.

What you are describing is when you run your application from the run command.

You can also go into the properties of the window and select full screen option.
