Could someone advise if there is a DOS command on Windows 98 which displays the CPU processor speed or any other way I can get this information without rebooting the machine?

if its an intel you can download an app from their site that will tell you what processor (sometimes wronly LOL) and speed / bus/memory/ etc etc. ***************************************

There are a couple ways to do this from Windows without restarting.

WINREP | Options, choose Collected Information, and wait for it to generate the list

or

DXDIAG

Don't know of anything in DOS, however.

DXDIAG works really well!

Star for you crisc!!

Didn't get WINREP to work, how to you run it. I use Windows ME. [deejay]

Hmm, WINREP must not be included in ME. Oddly, it IS included with Window 2000 Pro...
You could probably copy winrep.exe over from a 98/2k system and run it, if you really wanted to.

I like DXDIAG, b/c it shows my video card, and sound card with all the specs.

Thanks! [deejay]
