I am not familiar enough with DOS so if anyone can guide me I would appreciate it.

I have a customer that uses a DOS point of sale system. Is there a setting in DOS that enables or disables sleep mode on the monitor or does that have to be set in the BIOS?

Thanks

Not a setting per se, but I believe that there was a driver that loads in config.sys or autoexec.bat that enables/disables the sleep mode. Unfortunatley, I haven't used DOS since about 1995, so I don't recall what it was. During the boot process you might see a message about DPMS, and that rings a bell. Maybe it stands for DOS Power Management System or something?

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
