Doorphone Problem

I have just added a Norstar Doorphone to my system. I have used 9*4 to program the ring group, ring duration, page group etc, but the unit is not operating correctly. The problems area) I cant call the doorphone by dialing its DN(The DN rings no reply and nothing happens at the doorphone). (b) The doorphone can call the phones programmed to ring, but when you answer there is one-way transmission (the doorphone can only receive audio, not transmit). I have been into config to check if there is any programming required under terminals & extns, but there does not seem to be anything there to change. One thing that does seem odd though, when I go into maintenance the system sees the port (114) and DN (234) but thinks the device is a 7208!. If I press the middle softkey (>B2)whatever that is??, it says 'updating'then changes to (>B1) and the DN changes to 252> and the device shows DOOR>. When I exit programming the 252 DN shows as not in service and the 234 rings no reply. 234 was previously used for a startalk, but I dont see how that could be causing the problem. I tried restarting the system after the doorphone was added. Any ideas? Thanks Gaz

Should have said, I have a Compact Plus (CICS) With UK Release 6 (Latest) Software running. I dont neet a PSU for a Doorphone do I?

The doorphone extension needs to be assigned one intercom button, and a standard handsfree button. Also remove all line assignments from the doorphone extension.
