Has anyone put a doorphone on an IP Office? Does it go into a POT port or a line port? and can you program it to automatically dial an extension or group when it goes off-hook? any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have used the CO port for door phones. To program them all you have to do is create an incomming call route for the line. If you use the POTs port you will have to use the ?D short code in the user tab of the station. It is labled as Hot Phone or Hot Line in the help files.

Thank you. That makes sense to use a CO line. I will give it a try.

I have an IP Office with with doorphones on it, My name is Erik Williams, I Have an IP406, and the Avaya Door phone system works well with it because all any phone system needs to utilize this is a spare trunk port. The door phone systems come in different sizes, Valcom also has an electronic gate control that works well. If you have the 4-port trunk card in the back of the IP Office just program up an incoming call route to where ever you want this call to end up

there are many variaties of door phones that can work with the pot port on you existing phone 30 module. Why go to expense of a co card?????
