With the help of the this above forum thread, i had set up a door phone overflow group that would forward to an auto attendant that would disconnect the call after a short duration

But now I switched from embedded voicemail to Voicemail Pro, it took away my auto attendant setting in the ip500v2.

Can someone please direct me on how to set up this same auto attendant that disconnects calls after a few seconds in voicemail pro?

I tried forwarding to short code *52, but that did not work for me

With VM Pro you could just skip the overflow and give voicemail to the Hunt Group. In VM Pro add a custom disconnect action to the leave mail start point.

There is also a (t) parameter you can add to dialing short codes that sets a time limit for the call duration. I think it is in minutes so that may be too long for your needs and I don't recall whether or not that timer counts dialing time or just talk time. I've used a couple times with overhead paging when people just couldn't seem to remember the hanging up part.

thank you for the advice, i knew about the t parameter in short codes but 1 minutes is too long

I will go ahead and try your VM Pro suggestion

it worked thanks for the VM pro instructions.

the doorphones I've used (Algo) have timers that can be set to control how long they will ring before hanging up.

I have a Viking doorphone, but the minimum ring time before disconnect is 1 minute, but thats too long.
The office uses the doorphone as door bell basically, and they only answer when they don't recognize the person at the door.
If they recognize we automatically use the door buzzer to open the door.
So 6 seconds of ringing is enough

I am experiencing the same issue. AVAYA IP500 and is using the VOICEMAIL Lite/PRO. I am only finding resources describing the EMBEDDED Voicemail and not for my current config

The instructions worked for me for how to do this in VM PRO

First turn on voicemail box for the hunt group, and then set the amount of seconds for voicemail

Then goto VM Pro client, and under group, add Leave entry Point, then set start point and select the amount of seconds and connect it to the disconnect action.
