Door Phone on a KXTD 1232 1

I have a customer who wants to install a "panasonic Doorphone" that he says he already purchased with his KXTD 1232 ----- Is this as simple as setting it as an extension and how would I set COS so that it is always intercom calling or is that already an option that I would select?????

a single 12-32 can take 2 x door phones
the door phone connects to the doorphone scoket with a single pair of wires which are connected to the centre pair of the ddk plug Or centre pair of the rj11 plug of the doorphone scoket (the above connections are dependent on the age (ver) of 12-32 you have.as there are 2 types of ccu types....

Thanks--so there is really no programming other than making it an extension.

its not an ext.... it has its own ports on the system but you will then have to tell the system which exts to ring when the intercom button is pressed ..

is there a default setting as to how it rings--or it wont ring at all until you go through programming to set it

it will ring on the phone that is set as opp in default ext 101 as a norm

4 door boxes on a single 12x pn kx-td 161
