Door Phone not working on DECT DTL-8R-1 connected to Extenstion 100

So we replaced the old 900mhz cordless to the new NEC DECT model tethered to the reception desk 100 DN. We have IPK2 and the ring to extension for door phone relay has always worked on this extension with cordless enabled. The door phone works fine if the button is pressed to handset, but when you select Cordless it never rings if the door phone calls, so i can't press the digit code to open the door. I tested the Cordless on normal inbound calls just fine, and the 100 extension still works the door phone using handset. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A Single Line Telephone (SLT), connected to an APR does not ring when the Door Phone
rings the multiline telephone.
Dterm cordless telephones are not supported with the Door Box feature.
This is straight out of the features and specs manual.
