I am trying to set up an Avaya (Luuds) door controller and door phone speaker. com codes 408466563 and 408466548.

I am not sure if I am able to use a analog station with this or does it need to be a trunk? I am unable to get either to work.

I have my short code set for
?D
Direct Dial
500 (This is a group)

has anyone used this product with the IPO and have it working?

Any infor mation is appreciated?

I have alway used dial ext. does the port work with a butt set on the station port?

If this is the same Avaya Door Controller that I have been installing than you need to use a trunk port. When the door controller is activated it rings the trunk which you need to put in a different incoming group & than create a hunt group(collective) & assign all sets that you want to have the door phone line ring on.

Port works with Butt set..
and I was thinking it needs trunk port also.. but, it says it can be used with station port.. either way it is not working.. wondering if I have defective part

The short code I've used for an analog doorphone ext is;

?D
DialExtn
Group number to ring to

If using a trunk you only have to program it to the phones it should ring on.

If the doorphone can use either there must be a way to switch from one to the other.

The ?D short code is only used if you are using a station port. If you are using a trunk port you need to put it in a line group of its own and build an ICR to the Hunt Group.

I have always used a Partner Door phone (at least when I have a choice) 408466555

It just connects to an analog station port with no controller. Sometimes you have to go to extensions and change it from an analog phone to an IVR port in order to get it to disconnect properly. Other than that I have never had an issue and they are usually cheaper and less annoying to install than any other door phone option I have tried.

It has been a while since I installed the one you are using. I think there are jumpers on the door phone and/or the controller that you need to set.

I have never gotten one of these to work on a station port no matter what I tried. I always had to use a line port to get it to work. I seem to recall the directions were either very misleading or just wrong in some way regarding the input/output connections for the CO port to the system. Think the CO port goes to the "phones" connection and you ignore the "line in." Could be wrong its been many years. No specific memory of what jumpers matter other than that they needed to be set.

LUADS uses analog extension.

LUUDS uses ananlog trunk port.
