I recently purchased a Bogen ADP1 Door Phone. I have a slight issue with the way it works. There is a timer that will disable after a selectable delay of 15 sec to 2 min. The problem is the line is hung up after that duration no matter if the call is finished or not. With the timer disabled, it is supposed to detect a loss of loop current of 300 ms or longer. Is there a way for an analog card to supply this loss of loop current? If I disable the timer, the door phone only hangs up if I pull the phone line running to it. Thanks.

if you adjust those timers, it will affect all the analog stations.. what are you trying to get it to do and what system type

John,

I just want the door phone to cut out when the station it dials hangs up. The internal timer in the door phone cuts off at the end of the timer. I want to use the option built in that detects a 300ms or longer drop of loop current. Will the analog card not do this? I am running a CS1000 v4.5.

that's what i was thinking.. connect it to a loop start cot card. then timers are just on that trunk. rtrn in the route sends dialtone to the station

John,

If I make this a trunk instead - can I still dial TO the intercom. as a station, I can dial the dn to initiate the call from a phone inside the building. Ultimately I will have 3 or 4 of these, running to 3 different destinations. Can you point me in the right direction to set up as a trunk, dialing 9084 (was using "hot d" on the analog port) and also being able to access it from a phone. Do I need to define access codes to the route(s)? Thanks.

Working on setting up as a trunk port - I see a problem though. The door phone (intercom) is powered by the phone line. Does the trunk port supply the power like the analog card will? I don't seem to be getting any power to the intercom. Can I apply power with the trunk port somehow?
