door entry system (meridian option 11)

we are looking at a door entry system and have been told we can have system which can call any extension and a hot key on the phone to release the door.could any one tell me if this is correct and if so where to purchase what is required

Most door entry systems either hook to a CO port on system or single line port. Valcom makes door entry systems.
