Check this out, info on which ports to block as well as other very useful info:

The first in the list for "tcp/ip port msn messenger" gave me this:
MSN Messenger = 1863
Yahoo Messenger = 5000-5001
AIM = 5190
There's a few more than that - I suggest you have a look at the website for more info.
