Hi,

I posted this message in the Windows ME forum, and got a relpy to it.

How do you make Windows ME, automatically create a restore point whenever I want it to.

The response I got was to use a VBScript. I recieved one that was supposed to work, but it didn't. So can anyone possibly write me this simple script.

I want to be able to add it to my scheduled tasks (so it must be a program that I can double-click).

I would like it to automatically create a restore point called "Nate's Restore!" when a person double-clicks on the script.

Can anyone help me out (Just 2 days ago, I didn't even know what VBScript was. That's how much of a beginner I am at this)

Thanks in advance.
[cheers]
Nate

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I dont use ME, but according to the following article, the System Restore does provide an API. However, it's a C-style DLL API, not a COM API - so VBS cant natively interface with it.

You would need to create a COM DLL in VB,C++,etc.. to expose the desired functionality. Then invoke that from your VBS. Jon Hawkins
