Don't know if this is the right forum, but anyway:

We've got an intranet at work and in one of the sections is a load of logs. Someone has asked to have a spell checker put on for when they enter a new log (so they don't look stupid and spell something rong LOL ), so does anyone know how to do this.

The site is being developed in Dreamweaver 4.

Thanks...

Are the logs entered on-line (via a form or similar) or are they created offline (in Dreamweaver)? If they are created offline, then you could put the text through Word or something similar to spellcheck.

If they are being created online, then I believe you can integrate spell-checking into the form by using ActiveX controls (not sure how you would do this, as I've not done this myself - there is an ActiveX forum you could check out).

Something else you might want to investigate is products (in particular ActivSpell) - a server-side spell checker that can be used in on-line forms.
