Last Fall I created a MS Access DB, which was finished in December. I have kept a master copy on my computer and now, since we have misplaced the stick that housed the copy people have been used for data entry (bad idea, I know and I told them). Now I can open my master copy with the SU account but I can not open it with the data entry user. This is the error I see: You do not have the necessary permissions to use the '\\my computer\my docs\etc. I have tried recreating the user. This is the first time I have worked with access. Thank you

An access user. I am not sure why it is throwing a windows error.

Access security is based around security IDs and workgroup information files, the login ID is purely a visible identifier - recreating this does not transfer permissions across.
The first step is to ensure that all of the PC's are using the same workgroup information file (mdw file), then see if the login credentials match.
