Visual C++ 6.0 installed without the help. When I click on Help it says "A required component is missing." And I can't install it from the CD, it says it can't find MSDN.
If you don't have the installation CD's MSDN it available on-line. You will not have a local copy, however, if you develop on a machine with an internet connection, you could get by without it.
I'm not sure about C++ 6.0, but on .net 2003 I had an option to install the MSDN libarary documentation when Visual C++ .net was finished installing. It takes up 1.9 gig! Is this not the case with 6.0?
I know MSDN is available online, but I absolutely can't figure how to use it. Say I want context help on a function, what parameters it takes, what it does, can I find that there?
