I have 2 machines : PIII550 running Server and a P133 running Interbase Client. When I try to connect to the server, the message say "NetWork Acess Denied". My LAN is functioning OK, I can execute any program in PIII from the P133. Manual just say to put the machine name when system ask for Server name. What is wrong ?
Thank You !

Can you execute isql on the server machine?
Did you run Interbase Communication Diagnostics on both machines?

Are you trying to connect a Local Interbase Server (which comes with Delphi Professional) remotely? In this case the Server won't accept remote connections.

Open your services file in your windows directory and check if gds_db 3050/tcp exists.

Worked with TCP/IP

Yes. Locally was working in both machine.

NETBEUI says "Error loading function from DLL. Try restanting windows"
TCP/IP says "Invalid Pointer Operation"

Yes it came with Delphi. But in Docs says we have 5 users, local or remote connections.

Open your services file in your windows directory and check if gds_db 3050/tcp exists.
On machine 550 services file had that clause.
On machine 586 (P133) don't. I put it manually.

I had to install TCP/IP in 586 (P133) and so connection was made. In Interbase docs says we can use NETBEUI or TCP/IP but NETBEUI must have some else configuration to work.
Thank You
