Don't ask me why, but my customer wants to block their number from being sent on the PRI service. I know you can choose between base number + extension, or extension, or line number, but can you block it completely from sending anything, or does the provider need to do it.

You can do it by 'Line Number' and then not enter any information. I would have to agree with you that this is not a very good business decision (unless they are running an illegal operation :) ). In this age of caller-id, most people won't respond to calls that don't supply this information (somewhat akin to how we treat junk-mail).

Depending on the size of their business they may be required by law to send their # for E911 compliance. Don't change it for them but tell them how .... liability makes lawyers rich these days.

Even if you change CPN in the Legend, that doesn't prevent the LEC/CLEC/Carrier from sending BTN/ANI instead. (I know that ANI isn't CallerID). My CLEC will substitute the BTN for the PRI for any CallerID it thinks is invalid, including forwarded, or if I try to set our toll-free number on every line... so I think the only way to really 'block' it would be to figure out how to get the Legend to send the privacy indicator... anybody know how to do that?
