nobody will do it here as the danger of getting burnt is just too big.

I, as an Avaya BP can't do it AFAIK. I've always had to use my distributor, who's closed on Saturdays.

We all have to go through the disti's except if you call in an emergency with Avaya they can do a license swap for you

Yeah, I tried that. The customer was never given a sold-to number by the company that sold them their system, and that company refuses to cooperate with anything. The customer approached us yesterday morning with a dead 500v1, and I overnighted a 500v2, but didn't get the SD serial in time to call the distributor.

Oh well, it will have to wait until Monday.

I have a spare dongle with a VmPro license on my desk for just that reason. At least the voicemail is working even if all other stuff is not. Has helped me out of a pickle before.

That's not a bad idea.

my dongle has no essential license so I have to buy one for it to make it work on the releases or chassis that need one but I also have not used it in a while and could not justify the cost so far as I have not used it in a while.
