Hi All

Iam using R5 and logging to the Domlog db to record all activity of ppl who visit my internet site. I know I can pick up the browser used by the visitor which is strangly dominanted by Mozilla but what I need to know is how do I find the OS and display resolution of the visitor?

Many Thanks in Advance

Jazz

The OS you will most probably be able to acquire, since it is part of the user data that seems to be public when the client PC is not correctly locked down.
However, I do believe that there is no chance for you to get the resolution automatically. I don't think the HTTP protocol allows for worrying about that kind of issue. HTTP is primarily designed to adapt the content to the screen, which is why so many sites display a "Best viewed in " line.

Pascal.

Many thanks for the information.

Is the OS found in the UserAgent line?

Many Thanks
