Hi There,

I have setup TPD to backup our Domino DB. Archive logging is enabled on the server.

My backup jobs runs successfully. I have a daily incremental job, hourly achive job, a weekly selective job and a inactivation of archive logs.

The issue that i am having is that my transaction logs are still growing.

How do i get it to free the space on the drive?

I am more than happy to post any logs that need be.

I think it is something from the Domino side that controls that. Domino will know what logs have been archived and will delete them.

On the TSM side, I just took a look at my TDP for Domino node, I notice that I have archivedelete=yes and backdel=yes - I don't think that makes a difference, though. that will just give the SA the ability to do a 'dsmc arch deletefiles'

I think I had to run "dominstall" or something when we initially set up the TDP client. - did you do that?

Thanks Probably down.

I too couldnt find anything wrong on the TSM side. Though thats the first place i looked. I dont know Domino at all but from what ready i believe that issue is with Domino itself.

Not sure if you attempt a full backup.

Incremental backup does not commit the Domino transaction log. Need to perform a full backup so that Domino will commit the transaction log.

Good Luck,
Sias
