Domino to Outlook mail problem

Today we had something happen to one of our users. We are using Domino R6 for our mail. One of our users, using Outlook 98, tried to get their mail today. When they did, it began to download all of their messages to them, not just their new ones. We do normally leave messages on the server for a few days, just to make sure we can find stuff if we need to. Any ideas or help on this would be appreciated.

Just an idea.
We use Groupshield Antivirus software on our Domino servers.
I have seen this software change the status of sent mail from read to unread.
I had to put a setting in notes.ini to stop this happening
GSD_EXCLUDE_SENT_ITEMS = 1

I also stopped the antivirus software scanning the mail boxes when the user is reading and writing to them(ON-ACCESS). I do scan the mail boxes ON-DEMAND every week.

So check your antivirus.
