We have a development server that suddenly refuses to start. Upon startup the SERVER task tries to start but fails with the following message:-
Error writing to process file pid.nbf, (other applications may be inappropriately accessing this file)Error writing to process file
File cannot be created.

I have tried deleting the pid.nbf and rebooting the server but get the same message.

We have all our live Domino servers on this same server running fine so there is nothing fundamentally wrong with Domino.

Running Domino 7.0.1 FP1 on IBM iSeries (i5/OS 5.4)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Tony.

Sorted, no thanks to the completely misleading error messages.

Turns out the notes.ini was corrupt and had replaced the Directory=pathname with weird charaters.

Tony.
